Miesha Theresa

Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed martial arts pundit. Tate is also a mixed martial arts veteran. Tate competed in Ultimate Fighting Championships, and was an UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Born in Tacoma, Washington, she was an active participant in sports since her time in school. While she was studying at the Central Washington University, she began attending the mixed martial arts club after it was recommended by an acquaintance. When she made her debut as an amateur, she faced Elizabeth Posener (a Muay Thai expert) aged 20. The following year, at the single-night event HOOKnSHOOT Women's World Grand Prix and her professional debut. The first time she won the FCF Women's Bantamweight Championship after two years. Tate won praise for her Brazilian Jiu-jitsu style and wrestled. In the following years, her renown increased when she was the first woman to win the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship. She has modeled not only in mixed martial art, but additionally for several websites and magazines such as 'ESPN The Magazine' and Fitness Gurls.
