Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competing with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC fellow fighter is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She debuted in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a second medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold medal in 2011 and won the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thailand Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the K-1 World Championships, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win in the second round by TKO and then won the next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass an overall record of three-three. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She returned with a win against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous verdict and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. In 2018, she left the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her striking skills that were superior in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. Antonina accepted a UFC invitation following her win. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight following her first bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. She was awarded the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko won her first three fights before losing them to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in round two to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
